This summer, a group of more than 20 employees from our Burnaby office in Canada participated in a Trail Trust Dig Day in partnership with the North Shore Mountain Bike Association (NSMBA). NSMBA is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization that cares for and maintains the trails of the North Shore. Most of our employees are avid mountain bikers and frequent these trail systems often, so they were eager to donate their time and energy in support of NSMBA's mission.
Our employees focused their efforts on Mount Seymour and the RT Connector trail in particular. They improved areas of the trail that were part of NSMBA's Fiver Series race that Race Face sponsored a few weeks later.
"It was great having the opportunity to get outdoors with the team up here and slinging dirt in our own backyard. Giving back to the area where we recreate is essential for ensuring the community can continue to ride these trails. Hopefully this is the first of many dig days," shared Michael Nash, Demand Planner for Fox who helped organize the Dig Day.
Many of our Race Face team members who participated in the Dig Day joined NSMBA's Fiver event that took place on the same trails.
