Over 80 employees from our Scotts Valley, CA, office - including SSG Executive Vice President Wes Allinger and PVG President Tom Fletcher - recently volunteered with Trail Trust partner Santa Cruz Mountain Trail Stewardship (SCMTS) in nearby DeLaveaga Park. The group spent the morning removing introduced species and other overgrown vegetation and litter from the trails.
Fox has partnered with SCMTS (formerly Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz) for nearly two decades. We sponsored segment 3 of the Flow Trail and many years of the Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival, Santa Cruz Superenduro, Old Cabin Classic and Old Growth Classic. In addition to these larger efforts, we've had dozens of smaller partnerships with SCMTS where Fox has donated raffle items, suspension certificates, or funds to support local pump track projects.
Emma Ussat, Community Programs Manager at SCMTS, shared, "I can confidently say the organization would not be where we are today without the incredible support of Fox. Fox took a chance on SCMTS throughout the years as we launched new events, projects, and programs in new places, with new staff. And it was all a huge success."
After getting their hands dirty at DeLaveaga Park, the Fox Factory crew gathered for a staff appreciation BBQ. We hope to plan more Dig Days in the future, as it was not only a great way to give back to the local trails, but an awesome opportunity for our employees to connect outside the office over their shared love for the outdoors.
